harry potter, etc. (no spoilers)
So I have had a stressful couple of weeks, mostly related to grad school stuff that I won’t get into too much. Just a difficult situation that has been frustrating to deal with.
On a better note though, went to see harry potter 5 on friday 7/13 and enjoyed it. Thought they did a good job, can always point to a few things that I would have changed, but that’s always the case with movie versions of books. Helena bonham carter was very well cast as bellatrix lestrange (a little too well…) as was the actress who played umbridge.
Then this past weekend my sister came up and we went to the troy farmer’s market, was nice to get out and walk around somewhere that wasn’t too much walking for gillian. Then I got harry potter 7 on saturday around 2…finished reading about 11:30 in the morning on sunday (did break to sleep for a little while). Read the ending first as usual. As promised in the subject, won’t give anything away. Am impatiently waiting for other family members to finish it so we can discuss (I know, I finished early but if I didn’t it would just be a constant distraction from class work, so needed to get it finished in one weekend :)).
Ok…time to start off another work week. Hopefully grad school-related stuff is a little less frustrating this week, but we will see.
Very good…no spoilers at all…I don’t think I could do that after reading a book…any more so than I can after watching a movie…good thing you finished it first
Can’t wait to talk about it when I am finally finished…it’s taking me longer than originally planned…I had planned to finish it this weekend too but…as my plans usually fall through…so did that one…hehe.
