The Argument Clinic

favorite tv quotes: part six…

January 31st, 2006

Been catching up on the colbert report and a few other things I taped last week. So here are some of my favorite quotes from my tv viewing…

Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report:

“The government’s reading your emails and monitoring your phone calls and they agree - your boyfriend’s a tool”

“I’ll have to take your word for it, I didn’t pay much attention to the news back then [2000], because I didn’t have my own show”

“Listen up cause I’m only going to say this once, lucky for you it will be rerun 4 times tomorrow - “This is the Colbert Report”"

“Now I haven’t read “Night” yet because I don’t read books…”

“If sugary cereals make your teeth fall out who better to market them to than children whose teeth are supposed to fall out.”

“You’re the fashion columnist for the Washington Post. Isn’t that like being a dance critic for the Southern Baptist Convention?”

Two and a Half Men

Alan: Jake, are you praying?
Jake: Its ok, I’m not in school

Alan: Ok even if we were to assume a God who would be willing to give your teacher a cold…
Jake: Anthrax…
Alan: Alright, that’s it. No more praying.
Jake: What are you the Supreme Court?
