home!

November 11th, 2006

So I got home a few hours ago. Feels really good to be back in ny. The last few flights weren’t too bad, not too long either.

I actually got my bag too, was in the southwest office…guessing from the fact that several others from my flight # were there as well, that I wasn’t the only ones with flight-related issues yesterday. Happy with my decision, even though it took a little while…was less stressful I think in the long run to be able to sleep last night and know I had flights today.

Time for a cup of tea…

my watch!

November 11th, 2006

Yay! My watch is now in the correct time zone! That’s progress, right?

I know a lot of people that don’t bother changing the time on their watch for different time zones, but I always do so I don’t have to worry as much about getting to flights and meetings on time.

Last flight was pretty bumpy…hoping my next two are a little better, but we’ll see.

I know, I have been blogging way more than usual this week, but I haven’t had much else to do when I am stuck in multiple airports and hotels by myself :)

more airports…

November 11th, 2006

So I am back at kansas city international airport after a restful night and complimentary breakfast at the hotel.  Didn’t see much of missouri really except the drive to and from the hotel, looks pretty flat and doesn’t seem to be much around.  But maybe that’s cause we are near the airport?  I don’t know.  Airport is pretty nice, security is fast and there is free wireless internet (albany charges you).  And though I hate flying, I am really looking forward to it today actually, cause it will bring me closer to the east coast.  YAY!

These midwest areas kind of freak me out…they are so flat.  As a new yorker, I am really not used to that.  Am also looking forward to getting back to a place where the bathrooms aren’t labeled “tornado shelter”…not a big fan of being in places where tornado shelters are required.  Though I am sure you get used to it if you live here.

Ok…automated announcer guy…I get it…kansas city was a 2006 all america city.  How many times do I need to hear it?  The 2.5 hours of hearing it repeatedly last night was more than enough for me ;)

Figured out that between this past wednesday and today I will have gone to albany, charlotte, denver, indianapolis, kansas city, and baltimore…long few days if you ask me :)   But oh well, could be worse.  At least its a saturday and I’m not missing work or something.  Can’t worry too much, cause that doesn’t change anything anyways :)

I am ready to be home though….sitting by my christmas tree with a cup of tea.  Mmmm….
