The Argument Clinic

Just heard about this this morning.  My prayers are with the man’s family as well as those at rpi affected by the tragedy.

Always wondered how this worked on extreme makeover.  Figured there needed to be some way to avoid big tax burdens on the families.

So as of march 18 I have been at my current job for 5 years…how has it been that long exactly?  Another reminder of how quickly time can go by sometimes I guess.  Reaching 5 years of service does mean that I get an extra week of vacation though (YAY!), so I am really excited about that    Just showed up on my pay check on friday!!

So I just finished watching the season finale of battlestar galactica (don’t worry, no spoilers here for people keeping up on dvds) and all I can say is that it was very mean to leave the audience hanging like that!!! I know they always end episodes at irritating times, but the next season doesn’t start until 2008!!! How can I wait that long??? I realize that between work, school, and everything else I should have enough else to do without worrying about what’s happening on a tv show, but it’s an enjoyable diversion (though not as enjoyable when they leave you hanging like that…I thought it was bad enough when I expected to have to wait until september…).

Oh well, off to sleep…time to calm down about it…

So I found out today (probably would have heard earlier only was a little out of touch due to traveling) that extreme makeover home edition (show on abc) is making over a house in colonie, ny this week (20-30 mins from where i live). My uncle charlie is in charge of safety for the project, think they just demolished the house today. Guess they have shuttle buses going past the house so people can see it (because traffic in the area is restricted for obvious reasons). I heard the episode is going to air as the season finale for the show in may, should be interesting to watch an episode where I may actually recognize some of the places they go.

Anyway, i thought that was interesting (which is a rare thing for colonie)…off to sleep…getting up early for church tomorrow…
