vacation is over…
So I went on vacation to schroon lake last week and had a really nice time. Was relaxing, which was exactly what I needed this summer. Read quite a bit, finished anna karenina and am almost done with crime and punishment. Didn’t get to start brothers karamazov, so think I will need to return it to the library and read it some other time. Don’t expect to have much time to read between now and….hmm….december?
My mom did quite a bit of kayaking, some pictures are here. Weather was really nice. I went out in my inflatable kayak a couple times as well. We went down schroon river and saw a heron and a couple golden eagles (identified later, we weren’t sure what they were at the time), which was cool 
So overall, nice relaxing vacation.
Came back saturday morning and found out that I got a b in my summer class so I get reimbursed (need a b for that), so that was a relief. A little annoying that I had to wait that long to find it out because then I only had a couple days before my next class started up (and I never feel like a class is really over until I have the grade). Least favorite class so far, learned quite a bit but not a very good experience over all. But oh well, at least it’s done, what a relief! 4 classes down….6 to go…
Speaking of classes, they started again yesterday, so back into doing homework, etc. Didn’t actually do any work yet, but have to start up with it today. Taking chemical process analysis and intro to aquatic chemistry. In chemical process analysis, we have to grade other student’s matlab projects as part of our overall grade, which is interesting/weird. Will see how that goes.
Guess that’s pretty much it for now…am relieved it’s fall and am looking forward to cold weather again
